Happy Wednesday! These weeks seem to be flying by, we are almost in August how?! I can't lie and say I am not excited that we are almost in August because that means Fall is getting closer. If you are new around here Fall or Autumn is my absolute favorite time of year.
That brings me to my post today, a Pre-Fall Outfit Idea that you can transition into Fall. The first look is one you can wear right in these hot temps. It's a cropped wrap top paired with my favorite burgundy button up skirt and some mules that give me some height. If you aren't comfortable showing that much skin you can always make adjustments that better fit you and your style.
I have been loving the wrap-tie tops and dresses during this spring/summer season. I find them to be so flattering. I think they are on everybody type as well. They pull you in in all the right places and give everyone the illusion of an hour class waist. Have you tried this trend? I highly recommend it.
I have been wearing button up skirts for many seasons now. They are my favorite type of skirts to wear. I think both looks would look cute with a jean skirt as well. I find "mini" skirts to be flattering on my short frame. It gives the impression I am taller than I actually am. Which I am all about :)
To transition this outfit into more of a fall look, I swapped out a few of the items specifically the top and shoes. I decided to tuck in this cozy thermal top is from nordstrom. I bought it during the anniversary sale. It was one hot ticket item because it was sold out the morning the sale opened. I was lucky to find a size at all in my local store. I will be wearing/ layering with it all fall. Then I swapped the mules out for my favorite booties. I think I'll have to retire them soon sadly. I've had them for 4 years now and they are looking a bit worn. But they've been my favorite for the last few autumn's.
There you have it a simple way to transition a summer inspired outfit into a cozy fall one. It doesn't have to be overly complicated, all you have to do is swap out a few pieces that you probably already have in your closet and you'll be good to go! :) If you have any fashion questions let me know down in the comments.
