Cozy sweaters, warm lattes with cinnamon, boots, picking pumpkins are all happening soon because fall is right around the corner! With Fall being right around the corner I not only want to dress in fall clothes but I want to do my makeup with more fall tones.
That brings me to this post! I am sharing my this warm fall makeup look and the products I used to achieve it! In all honesty I love warm eyeshadow all year around not in just the fall but I know most people aren't like me in that. I find warm eyeshadow really flattering with how dark my hair is and my hazel eyes but I think it can look beautiful on everyone!
A tip I want to share with you before we breakdown this look is when you are using warm eyeshadows start with a very light hand. I think this rule follows with all eyeshadow but because these are so bright and noticeable it's a lot harder to fix if you put too much on.
On my lid I started with a "crease shade" first. The color I used from the "born to run palette" is weekender. It is a neutral that will really give depth and a base for the more fiery red shades. Then I started to layer the shadows and by layer I mean like you do with clothing. Adding one at a time and blending until they all mixed into one warm smokey eye. The shades I used are riff, still shot, ignite, baja, and accelerate. These are not in order of how I put them on my eye because it's different every time and you might do them in a different order :) I feel make up should be like playing or painting. But a rule of thumb I would use is do all the matte shades first then add the shimmer. Kind of common sense right? You wouldn't want to dull the shimmer by putting the matte on top. The only time you would do that is if you DID want to dull down the shimmer because you put too much for your taste. After I do the eyeshadow on my lid I then take one of the colors I used on my eyes and smoke out my lower lash line. When I am done with that I put on mascara I like bad gal bang from benefit.
Now that we have the eyes complete which I recommend you do first if you are new to make up I put on my "face" haha. Aka primer, foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer, blush, highlight & brows. What you put on as your face makeup is entirely specific to you. But I like a medium coverage foundation with a satin finish. I don't need much coverage but I find the "light coverage" are super oily and just don't do much.
The thing that is most important to me for my face makeup is bronzer and brows. Can't live without either. I love warming up my face with a bit of a shimmery bronzer and filling in my brows. My brows for some reason are much lighter in color than my hair lol. Which is unfortunate so I fill them in to match my hair color (which is natural btw) I don't dye it.
Lastly when I am done with my face I use setting spray to lock it in place and put on my lipstick. I always love nude but in the fall I either like a berry lip or a browny-nude. I love the Bite beauty lips. The color I have is 'whip' and it is that perfect pink nude with a hint of brown in it. I am not for the real brown lips they are too intense for me but I love a good balance of the two!
I hope this inspires you to play with makeup you can always wash it off and to try out some warm red/orange shades for fall. We are 28 days until the first day of fall and my heart could explode.
Happy weekend everyone!
